CIVIL WAR FIELD TRIP TO THE SQUARE, FRIDAY MAY 16th
This Friday we will be visiting the Sunbury Historical Society's Civil War Reenactment at the Sunbury Square. We will be taking sack lunches to eat on the Square before we go to the various stations to learn about this important time period. Please be sure to bring the following:

Sunglasses
Hat
Plastic Shopping bag to sit on (it could be wet!)
SCIENCE Week of May 12th
We will finish up our Healthy Snack Presentations Monday through Wednesday. Thursday will be a work day for teams to build their EGG DROP landers for next Monday, May 19th. Teams are to bring materials from home. The winning egg drop design will be the lightest successful lander. Click the link for details!!

Graven LA Week of May 5
This week we will be starting the novel Holes, by Louis Sachar. This is a book about family generations and building character. We will be reading the book in class while having class discussions, and journaling on what we have read. There will be quizzes throughout the book.

Wright LA week of May 5th
We start the novel Holes by Louis Sachar this week. This is a fantastic novel that connects characters and a storyline that stretches over three generations. It's also a fantastic movie that you can watch on Netflix, but PLEASE wait until we finish reading to watch it. We will do so in class when we get done!!
For this book there will be a lot of reading, a lot of discussion, and a wee bit of journaling. We will have a quiz halfway through and then at the end of the story as well.
MONDAY- Read chapters 4-6, pick a journal response to write about
TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY- Read chapters 7-12, pick one journal response
THURSDAY- Read chapters 13-18, journal response
FRIDAY- Read chapters 19-24, journal response

SCIENCE week of May 5th
Students will be working on their healthy snack projects this week. Students have signed up for their days to present. Please remember to bring your ingredients and recipe write-up on the day you have signed up for. I recommend bringing cold ingredients in a cooler as our fridge and freezer space here is limited. Remember, just provide a SMALL SAMPLE of your snack. There will be 4 presentations per day, plenty of snacks to be had by all. ****THIS PROJECT IS DUE May 12th - May 14th. Early Bird Bonus for groups that present on Friday May 9th!
