Wright Science Week of Feb. 10

We are studying electricity this week.  Be sure that you understand what conductors and insulators are and how to build a simple circuit.  You should be familiar with the concept of energy transformation and that electricity can be changed into many different forms of energy. For example, an LCD projector changes electricity into light, heat, mechanical and sound energy.

Tue- Answer the review questions on page F73 in your science book, Write the answers in your comp. book.
              F73 Review Questions
1)  How do similar electric charges react to each other?
2)  Why are insulators placed around conductors?
3)  What are resistors and why are they important?
4) Are the lights in your school connected in series circuits or parallel circuits? Explain.
5) A coil that is magnetized only when an electric current flows through it is -----
        a) a battery     b) a generator     c) a conductor     d) an electromagnet
