SS Week of Jan. 21

Ch. 5 Explorers
Kids will be working in cooperative groups in a jigsaw activity to teach and learn about these explorers.   Students randomly selected one explorer to be the teacher expert on for their group.  They've been working on preparations and groups will officially begin teaching and learning midweek.

Essential Question:
How have ideas and events from the past shaped the western hemisphere today?

I can describe the lasting effects of European exploration and colonization and the cultural practices and products of the western hemisphere.
