We will start off this super short week with some mid-year assessment. Students will be completing Aimsweb assessments as well as an updated SRI test to determine their Lexile progress. Thursday and Friday we will get started with our first novel study of the year. We will be reading Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare. Hopefully we will be able to read through the first two chapters this week. Students will be keeping a written journal to log items such as vocabulary, predictions, figurative language, and discussion questions. I highly recommend reading this novel along with your child!!
